Who does not know Moamar Gaddafi. Over the years he became well-known figure, especially by the western world. Libyan leader is a person who’s abused once respected.

Over the years the western world as a supporter assess Gaddafi militancy and revolutionary movement in Libya. While at the same time he was also honored as the highest leader in the country. Not forgetting the habit that accompanied a beautiful assistant.

Former President of the United States (U.S.) Ronald Reagan once referred to it as “Mad Dog of the Middle East.” I was so hated Reagan against Khadafi, he never even ordered the bombing of Tripoli. So reported Reuters on Monday (2/21/2011).

The bombing was in retaliation of the bombing of a nightclub frequented by U.S. soldiers. Libya blamed the U.S. government itself is behind this pengebomann.

Not to mention the Lockerbie incident, in which a plane owned airline that exploded on Pan Am bombing in Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988 ago, a Libyan being sanctioned by the UN, because the bombing happened.

But apart from that, Libya remains a concern of western countries. Britain and Italy even enjoy a small part of Libya’s oil wealth is well known that abundant. Not to mention, several lucrative agreements sought by both countries.

Although viewed as a highly violent, Gaddafi is seen as a popular figure in the country. After overthrew King Idriss in 1969, is considered capable of developing economies Gaddafi of Libya. He spent billions of dollars to increase the standard of living of the people of Libya.

Now the figure of Gaddafi get the exams from within the country. Influenced from what happened in Tunisia and Egypt, the Libyan people wanted a change of government which has been running for more than 41 years.
I do not know whether all the people really want it, but until now no signs of Gaddafi will step down from his position as well as former President Ben Ali in Tunisia and Hosni Mubarak in Egypt.
